ICELAND LAWS: 1. Has no sodomy laws, the age of sexual consent is 14 for all. There is
a ban on "seduction" of 14 to 16 year-olds by "misleading, gifts, or other
means", which applies equally to heterosexuals and homosexuals.
2. Has a national gay rights law that bans some anti-gay discrimination.
3. Allows homosexuals in its military.
4. Allows homosexual couples to register as Domestic Partners and obtain joint custody of
each others biological children.

Hi, I heard about your site on the Tom Leykis show today, and I was curious.
Well, to make a long story short, I found that the age of consent for ICELAND
is incorrect. I was born and raised in Iceland, and lived there until I was 24 when I
moved to Los Angeles. The age of consent in Iceland is incorrectly stated as
14. In fact it has never been 14, but was 16 for many, many years, but was changed to 18
just a couple of years ago (on 1/1/98 I believe, but I could be mistaken on the year).
Anyway, the age of consent is 18. Of course there are exceptions, and they are: Anyone
under 18 can have sex if his/her partner is of legal age, and no more than two years
older. So, technically when you're 16, you can legally have sex with 18 year olds only.
Anyway, I just thought I'd share this info.

IS 14 years for everybody and like you say There is a ban on "seduction" of 14

right but lower on the page there is a letter from someone that says that he lived in
Iceland and age of consent is 18 and was 16 THAT is NOT TRUE"
'I saw an email from someone who said he used to live in Iceland and that the age limit was 18. This is not true, I know it since I've lived in Iceland all my life, and the law says (translated): "Whoever that has intercourse or other forms of sex viš a child, younger than 14, shall be imprisoned up to 12 years. Other sexual harassment can mean prison up to 4 years."
"The law in Iceland is quite complicated. The age is 18 but 14 year olds can have sex as long as the partner has not reached 24, making him 10 years older. So according to the law it is 18 but in fact it is 14."
